Hyderabad: Alleging big scams in contracts for various irrigation projects in the state, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the revised Godavari water supply scheme phase-II proposed by the Congress govt was another scam.
KTR claimed that the project cost, initially estimated to be 1,100 crore, was now being proposed to be raised to 5,500 crore by the Congress govt.
At a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, KTR said the govt has already given the Kodangal-Narayanpur project for 4,350 crore to two companies – one belonging to a state minister and the other previously termed as the ‘East India Company’ of Telangana by Congress leaders.
He claimed the govt did not take any action on Sunkishala retaining wall incident except for suspending four engineers. TNN
