Low-lying hamlets have been cut off due to heavy rains over the last two days in Andhra Pradesh’s Eluru district.
Many streams were in spate on Friday due to heavy rains in the catchment areas, and rivulets were flowing over low-lying bridges.
The Meteorological Department has forecast extremely heavy rainfall in some parts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP) and Yanam on Friday, and heavy rainfall in parts of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP).
It has also forecast heavy rainfall for Saturday in these areas.
