Honda Cars India has confirmed that the third-generation Amaze will go on sale on 4th December 2024, with the official price announcement. In the compact sedan segment, it will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Dzirewhich is set to enter its fourth generation in the coming days. The new Honda Amaze will feature significantly improved styling and an upmarket interior while retaining the existing powertrain.
The official teaser reveals that the 2024 Honda Amaze has a larger, Civic-inspired front grille with a honeycomb pattern. The headlamps appear slimmer and have sharp edges at both ends. A thin chrome strip runs above the front grille, merging with the headlamp clusters. The front bumper has also been revised. The compact sedan will sport a shark-fin antenna and new taillamps with a smoky finish.
Similar to the current generation, the new Amaze will measure 3,995mm in length, 1,695mm in width, and 1,501mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,470mm. The Japanese automaker might introduce new color schemes in the model lineup, along with the existing shades: Golden Brown Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic. Interior details of the new Honda Amaze are not available at this point. However, the compact sedan is likely to have three fixed headrests for rear-seat passengers, as seen in the City sedan. Features such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a reverse parking camera, and more will also be on offer.
The 2024 Honda Amaze will continue to derive power from the 1.2L, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. It can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. This setup delivers a maximum power output of 90bhp and 110Nm of torque.
