Teachers in BC Survey Face Multiple Household Visits | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: With the BC survey being conducted in the afternoon hours, govt teachers, who are officiating as enumerators, have said that they may have to make multiple rounds to a house to collect the required information.
They said that the first three days of the survey were dedicated to identifying households so that they can go back and collect data. “Each teacher is given anywhere between 100 to 170 households to carry out the survey. Though officially teachers are asked to go for the survey during the afternoon hours, some of them are leaving early in the morning to complete it on time,” Chava Ravi from the United Teachers Federation said.
They also pointed out that details such as land ownership and Dharani records also need to be collected, and they might have to go multiple times to a house to conduct the survey. ” To collect all details, it may take more than 15 days as we need to spend at least an hour at each house,” a teacher said
The teacher pointed out that it would have been better if the govt had given this duty to students as project work instead of involving teachers.
