Hyderabad: Over 500 senior doctors from across the country participated in the three-day 6th annual international conference of ‘Indian Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ (ISTSCON) at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City on Friday.
The annual international conference of thoracic surgeons featured deliberations on latest advances in the field of thoracic surgery by over 10 international and 50 senior faculty from India.
The CME program also has a live workshop showcasing live demonstration of advanced thoracic surgery by international faculty. The surgeries were conducted on Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), Rib Fixation (Virtual Reality Simulation) and Pectus Correction.
The international thoracic conference was inaugurated by Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda Hospitals in the presence of Organizing Chairman, Dr. Amaresh Malampatti, Head, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVTS), NIMS, Organizing Secretary, Dr. K R Balasubramoniam, Dr. Manjunath Bale, Dept of Thoracic Surgery, Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad.
