Visakhapatnam: The hospitality and service sector company, Taj Group, has expressed interest in constructing a hotel in Visakhapatnam/Anakapalli district, sources in the district administration said. In this regard, the company’s representatives have been conducting site inspections over the past few days in the region.
On Wednesday, a team of representatives inspected several locations in Visakhapatnam, and on Thursday, they visited the surrounding areas of Achutapuram in Anakapalli district.
According to information, the company is willing to build a hotel near the coast in Visakhapatnam and/or Anakapalli district(s). They also examined lands near Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district. Tourism and revenue department officials showed the lands under consideration to the representatives.
It is recalled that during the global investors summit conducted in Visakhapatnam last year, Oberoi group signed an MoU to establish luxury villa resorts at Bheemili here. Similarly, Taj group entered into an agreement to develop luxury resorts in the city.
