
Vijayawada: Three people from the same family died on the spot and four sustained injuries in a car accident near Alur of Kurnool on Monday. The deceased were identified as Sabera (60), her son Ghouse Basha (45), and daughter Nasreen (32). They were residents of Fareed Saheb street in Adoni town.
According to Alur circle inspector Srinivasa Naik, nine members of a family had travelled to Ballari in Karnataka in a car on Sunday morning to attend a family function.While returning to Adoni on early Monday morning, the vehicle lost control and overturned.
Sabera,Basha and Nasreen died on the spot. Other passengers in the car, including the driver, were critically injured. Two children in the car sustained minor injuries and were declared safe. The other injured were rushed to Adoni hospital in two ambulances.
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the accident spot. The bodies were shifted to Adoni govt hospital for post-mortem.
