Would KTM bring the 390 SMC R to India? The BMW F450 GS Concept should be a reality. One should get the Royal Enfield Classic 650 just to polish it!

Which motorcycle excited you the most with some Indian context?
Let’s stick to the small to mid capacity motorcycles.
- KTM 390 SMC R – will KTM let us have the fun? Will it come to our shores, don’t think so!
- Aprilia Tuono 457 – Was anticipating good looks but a capable naked, no doubt!
- BMW F450 GS Concept – Why is this a concept? Just make it a reality! The real surprise of the show, BMW should work on leaking some spy-shots in the future.
- Royal Enfield Classic 650 – Get it just to polish it!
- Royal Enfield Bear 650 – Interceptor with better suspension, isn’t that we were asking from day one?
- RE Flying Flea C6 – No comments!
- Hero Xpulse 210 – Xpulse fans waited too long for this update, hope it’s worth the wait!
- Hero Xtreme 250 R – Will it revive some fresh blood to the 250cc segment?
- Here Karizma XMR 250 – 400 is the new 250, is Hero late to the party? Does this pull the plug on the XMR 210? That’ll be too soon, isn’t it!
The show is not over, expect a bigger Xpulse concept and other surprises. Please vote your choice and share your thoughts.

Voted for KTM 390 Enduro. That bike surprised me the most. The engine from the 390 didn’t feel particularly happy at low revs, so it should be interesting to see how this engine as been retuned for the purpose. It would be amazing if KTM actually sold it in India.
I would also like to give a special mention to the F450 GS concept from BMW. Their first small capacity offering was probably not their best effort. Will be interesting to see how this one pans out in production. The mini-R1300 GS look is hilarious.

BMW F450 for me, that was a surprise no one was expecting. With The GS pedigree and an engine which actually can shine both on and off road, it might be the motorcycle that might sell by truckloads in near future. Eagerly awaiting the production version and impending launch.

In the order of most to least interesting:
- The Classic 650 – You can always trust Royal Enfield to make a classic Classic. After owning a chrome Machismo and now a Classic 500 Chrome, would really love to add the Classic 650 black chrome to my collection. It ticks all the right boxes for me.
- KTM 390 Adventure R – I currently have a 2013 Duke 390 and a Hero Xpulse 4V. The 390 Duke makes me want the comfort of an Xpulse and Xpulse makes me want the power of a 390. The 390 Adventure R would solve both the problems (at a price though)
- The Hero Xpulse – was a motorcycle I was really looking forward to in its 400cc avtar. But no, Hero disappointed me by launching a 210 version. My brother and me had decided to get one each if it was a 400. Thank you Hero, I’ll stick to the Classic 650.

Voted for the BMW 450 GS.
My max interest is in the 450 GS and the KTM 390 Adv R. But I guess since I knew about the KTM for a while now the GS’ surprise announcement is what swung the vote its way.
I also love the fact that it’ll be a twin – a slight differentiator to the rest of the segment.
