ELURU: One person was killed and 17 others sustained injuries as a RTC bus turned turtle in Eluru district. The accident took place Pothuluru village in Chintalapudi mandal in the early hours of Monday.
According to Chintalapudi Inspector, Ravindra, a RTC bus was coming from Hyderabad to Eluru. When the bus reached Pothuluru village, the driver of the bus could not control the bus at a curve on the road and the bus turned turtle and fell on the left side of the road. A woman Pendurthi Vimala Bai(70) was killed in the hospital and 17 other sustained minor injuries. The accident took place due to the rash driving of the driver and the police took the driver into the custody.
