Vij MP’s new initiative to create 8k entrepreneurs annually

Vijayawada: In alignment with state govt’s aim to nurture at least one entrepreneur per family, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) unveiled a robust plan to groom 8,000 entrepreneurs annually within his constituency.
Chinni’s initiative includes a dedicated skill development mechanism that provides youth with full spectrum of entrepreneurial support, from training to market access. Central to this program is a dedicated wing established at the Vijayawada MP office, where youth receive guidance on skill training, loan facilitation, unit setup, and product marketing.
In collaboration with banks and industry experts, the office offers counselling and resources to help young entrepreneurs launch and sustain small businesses.
Following the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) 2024 election promise to generate 20 lakh jobs over the next five years, Chinni’s office is focusing on empowering the youth to become job creators rather than job seekers.
“There is a significant potential in Vijayawada for food processing and small-scale industries,” Chinni said. The Vijayawada MP highlighted that there are opportunities in areas like honey box production, banana stem plate manufacturing, disposable packaging, paper plates, and dry mango powder.
Chinni also formed a dedicated wing to procure products from budding entrepreneurs, providing them with an initial market and boosting their confidence. Recognising that marketing remains a significant barrier for many new businesses, particularly for self-help group (SHG) women, Chinni’s team supports entrepreneurs in selling their products online on major e-marketplaces.
“We aim to provide skill training for 36 individuals each week, tapping into Centre’s schemes for MSME financial assistance,” Chinni noted.
By integrating training with hands-on market access, the initiative offers a holistic support system for aspiring entrepreneurs, fostering local economic growth and sustainable job creation.
