Vijayawada: Congratulating all those who got nominated posts, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said that the party carried out through screening to reward the hard work of the party loyalists.
He said that they had screened about 30,000 applications to pick suitable candidates to various state-level corporations and boards.
Naidu, however, said that the party leaders should consider the new assignment as a great responsibility to serve people better and bring laurels to the party.
“We have already made it clear that ours is a political governance and the selection has been made keeping this in view,” the chief minister remarked. Maintaining that political governance means that those who got these nominated posts too should become partners in the welfare that is extended to the people, Naidu asked them to be more careful and guarded in public life.
He said that there were several aspirants for various posts and the selection has been made to do justice to those who have worked hard for the success of the party.
“The selection has been made taking into consideration the hard work, sacrifices made by the party leaders, and their discipline,” said Naidu.
Recalling that the selection of the party candidates has been made in the recent election taking the people’s view through IVRS, the CM said that they registered a massive victory only by accepting the peoples’ choice.
He said that they have secured 93 percent of the seats in the assembly which is a historic victory. He explained that they have given preference to the leaders and activists who braved torture and harassment during the previous YSRCP regime.
Naidu said that TDP takes the credit of giving state-level posts to booth-level activists and made it clear that such posts will be offered to more and more party leaders in future. Admitting that there are several others who strived hard for the success of TDP, he promised to give opportunity to all.
The CM advised those who got the nominated posts to function keeping in view the slogan ‘simple govt and maximum governance’ by mingling with people. They should get good name to the govt and should never exhibit any kind of ego.
