A man who was feared dead after he was found “floating” in water in a pond in Warangal district of Telangana, was found to be merely “cooling off” after he was pulled out by the police.
Telangana Viral Video: A bizarre scene awaited police personnel in Warangal district of Telangana when they arrived at a pond after receiving information from locals that a ‘dead body’ was floating in the water. However, to their utter shock the cops found that the man was alive and was merely “cooling-off” in the water due to the scorching heat.
A video of the incident which has gone viral on social media showed a policeman pulling out the man, who is not wearing a shirt, from the body, thinking it was a “dead body”, but the man suddenly gets up to his feet, leaving the cop and others at the scene completely perplexed.

This can only happen in Telangana. Locals informed the police when they saw a floating dead body.

Upon being asked why he was laying in the water, the man explained to the police that he had been working for 10 days straight at a granite quarry for 12 hours a day under a searing summer heat and had decided to cool off and take rest in the pond.
Police said the man, a resident of nearby Nellore district, was lying in the water for hours and locals alerted the cops, fearing that it was a dead body floating in the water. A police team was rushed to the spot along with emergency services personnel but to their shock it was discovered that the man alive after he was pulled out of the water, said an official.
Telangana, like many other parts of the country, is facing extreme heatwave conditions since the onset of summer this year.
