Vijayawada: The Republic of Korea’s acting ambassador and deputy chief of mission Lim Sang Woo said that they are very happy to strengthen the bilateral partnership with Andhra Pradesh. He was a guest at the stakeholders workshop on promotion of sustainable enterprises for local development held in Vijayawada.
The event was organised by the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP), AP, in association and collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in the city on Tuesday. Sang Woo mentioned that Korea plans to play a strategic role in bringing much bigger investments to AP and Odisha.
The South Korean deputy chief of mission mentioned that Korea is looking forward to supporting entrepreneurs and will engage in matchmaking business with Korean startups and entrepreneurs as well. He said that Korea has a great connection with AP, and the association became very strong after they established KIA Motors in Anantapur. He added that there is scope in the food processing and textile industries, and they are exploring all possible ways to provide an international market for the goods manufactured by women entrepreneurs in AP.
Later,Sang Woo and ALEAP president Rama Devi Kanneganti, met CM N Chandrababu Naidu. Sang Woo said that CM Naidu was cooperative and also welcomed them to come with investments that would boost employment opportunities for the locals.
