Hyderabad: LB Nagar police spotted three persons moving suspiciously while vehicle checking and when intercepted they were found with a long rod used for house breakings. They searched their Google dates and found “search for temples” as their target by, said the police.
According to Inspector K. Vinod Kumar, “Three accused from Karnatak are Umesh, 23, Karthik, 20, and Nithin Kumar, 20, and moved to the city after they discontinued their studies after Intermediate and indulged in theft activities.”
They shifted their base to the city and started picking up jobs like AC technician, delivery executives and construction workers but ended up earning hardly anything.
In the theft at Saibaba Temple in Hayatnagar in September, they jumped into the temple compound and with the iron rod, broke broke the hundi lock and escaped with the cash. At Sri Uma Lingeshwara swamy Temple in LB Nagar they took away the cash. It was reported that Rs 30,000 and Rs 10,000 were stolen respectively rrom the hundis.
LB Nagar police arrested the trio and remanded them to judicial custody.
