Reviving Theatre: Manam Festival Returns for Its Second Edition in Hyderabad |


Manam theatre festival returns for 2nd edition

Hyderabad: To bring diverse thespian storytelling on a single stage, the second edition of the month-long Manam Theatre Festival will be launched on Friday. Spanning five weeks from Nov 15 to Dec 15, the festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of inclusivity and diversity, with an exceptional line-up of theatre troupes from India and abroad.
In addition to 24 performances over five weekends, the festival will also feature multilingual productions, workshops, fringe events and panel discussions.
This year’s theme, ‘Together We Belong’, embodies the spirit of inclusivity, with productions such as Project Darling, Nidravatwam and Urmila exploring themes of identity, community and social responsibility.
Manam theatre festival 2024 is more than a celebration of theatre. It is a convergence of diverse voices and perspectives, where experiences are shared and a true sense of belonging is fostered. This year’s theme embodies the spirit of inclusion and creates a space where people of all ages, genders and backgrounds can come together,” said Harika Vedula, founder-director of Manam Theatre Festival and founder of The We_Us Collective, adding that the future of festival will always be about putting people first.
This year’s performance roster is packed with a dynamic line-up shows. Highlights include Project Darling by Sharanya Ramprakash. Rodrigo Calderon’s ‘He’, and ‘The Gentlemen’s Club’ by the Patchworks Ensemble. The festival will also feature collaborations with the Hyderabad Children’s Theatre Festival, highlighting the importance of theatre for young audiences.
