Hyderabad: An interaction session with young school students on the harmful effects of pollution was conducted by the Telangana Pollution Control Board. Students of Class 3 from DRS School participated in the educational session on causes and consequences of different types of pollution.
The event, aimed to raise awareness among young minds, highlighted the need for environmental responsibility and sustainable living. They were shown different levels of air pollution in sensitive, residential, commercial and industrial areas through display of level of pollution observed on filter papers. Noise levels were shown through the noise measuring.
The students were explained about various types of pollution that impact the environment, such as air pollution, water pollution and noise pollution through activity and demonstration.
The session concluded with a emphasis on how students can play a role by making changes in their lifestyle by reducing waste, recycling, conserving water and energy, planting trees and raising awareness in the communities they live in. The interactive format of the session allowed the young learners to ask questions, share their thoughts, and discuss ideas on how to make their home, school and community a cleaner and greener place.
