Hyderabad police has been asked to employ transgenders for traffic management and in special drives to check drunk driving

Hyderabad: Telangana government would be using the transgenders in traffic management in Hyderabad. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has asked thepolice department to deploy the transgenders for traffic management in areas which have been witnessing heavy traffic congestion, according to an official press release here on Thursday.
The police department was told to deploy the transgenders to prevent instances of signal jumping, other violation of traffic rules and also in drink driving check initiatives. The police department was also ordered to finalise the salaries on par with the home guards. The police department was also asked to finalise a uniform for the transgenders to be employed by the police.
