Nizamabad: Revenue employees staged a protest at the Collectorate on Monday against the attack on the Vikarabad Collector and other officials at Lagicherla village of Kodangal.

They demanded strict action against the people involved in the attack. Revenue Employees’ Association Nizamabad district president Ramana Reddy said as per the call given by the Association State committee, all the revenue employees in the district would continue their protest by wearing black badges and attending the duties until strict action was taken against those responsible.

“The officials who went to the village as part of their duty were attacked like criminals. Such actions cannot be tolerated. We will continue our protest till people responsible for the attack are punished,”he said.

There was a need for the government to implement strict laws to prevent such attacks and provide protection to revenue employees, he said.
