Allegro MicroSystems Expands R&D in Hyderabad by Hiring 500 Engineers | Hyderabad News

Allegro R&D centre in city to hire 500 more

Hyderabad: US-based magnetic sensing and power IC solutions provider Allegro MicroSystems has set up a new R&D facility in Hyderabad with around 100 engineers and plans to scale up to 500 in the near future.
The new R&D centre will be a centre of excellence (CoE) on analogue and mixed signal design, verification, and validation for the EV, automotive, and robotic automation markets.
The announcement was made by Telangana IT & industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu after a meeting with Allegro MicroSystems’ leadership team led by CEO Vineet Nargolwala and including Senior Vice Presidents Suman Narayan and Max Glover on Friday morning.
Initially the facility will be housed as a CoE within Cyient’s Manikonda campus and will move out into the company’s own facility by 2026, Allegro MicroSystems officials told TOI. Nargolwala said the facility would be instrumental in developing cutting-edge solutions for e-mobility, clean energy, and automation.
Sridhar Babu said,”Currently, India imports over 90% of its semiconductors. With India focusing on EV adoption, this expertise will help Telangana build the technological capabilities needed to support the booming EV manufacturing sector in Telangana and the country,” he said.
