Hyderabad: Ten students of Govt Medical College in Mahabubnagar were suspended for allegedly ragging juniors. Though the alleged incident took place on Nov 10, it came to light on Thursday after the juniors approached the college management and filed a complaint.
Insiders said the 10 medicos are in their second year of MBBS course and allegedly ragged the juniors during a freshers’ party held in the college hostel.
The newly-joined first year students wrote anonymous complaints to the college authorities about the alleged ragging incident, a source said,
“There were a lot of complaints from the junior students against the 10 students. Hence, they were suspended for 20 days starting Nov 11. Their parents were summoned to the college in connection with the incident,” said a senior professor from the college.
