JSW Sports and JSW MG Motor India honored the Indian medalists of the 2024 Olympics by presenting them with the MG Windsor. These Olympic medalists, who excelled in events such as Javelin Throw, Pistol & Rifle Shooting, Wrestling, and Hockey, were presented with the keys to their MG Windsors at an event in Chandigarh. The vehicles were handed over by company representatives during the ceremony.
The event was graced by several prominent dignitaries, including Parth Jindal, Managing Director of JSW Cement & JSW Paints and Founder of JSW Sports; Rajeev Chaba, CEO Emeritus, JSW MG Motor India; Biju Balendran, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India; Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer; and Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer, JSW MG Motor India. Dealer partners of MG from across the country were also present at the event.
MG Windsor: October 2024 Sales Milestone
In October 2024, the Windsor emerged as India’s top-selling electric car, overtaking the Tata Nexon EV. The carmaker sold 3,116 units of the electric CUV, achieving its highest-ever monthly sales with a total of 7,045 units sold and recording a YoY growth of 37.92 percent.
MG Windsor: Specs and Features
The Windsor is powered by a 38kWh LFP battery paired with a front axle-mounted electric motor that produces 136bhp and 200Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of 331km on a single charge. MG is offering a lifetime warranty on the battery with unlimited kilometers for first-time buyers of the Windsor. Additionally, buyers will benefit from free public charging for the first year.
