Cybercrime police nabs two on charges of cheating-Telangana Today

Hyderabad: Cybercrime police nabs two on charges of cheating

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cybercrime police arrested two persons on charges of cheating job aspirants with promise of online part time jobs.

The arrested persons are Shri Krishna Babanrao Pawar ( 43) and Ramakant Jovan Dhanawate (30) both from Kopargaon in Ahmednagar in Maharashtra.


According to the police, Krishna Babanrao Pawar and Ramakant Jivan colluded with other cyber fraudsters and sent messages from Telegram ID and offered part time job and insisted victims to follow their instructions and get registered into their website with user ID and password and made victims to create an institutional account in the website.

Victims initially invested smaller amounts and got returns. Later, they made people invest huge sums and went absconding.

” These fraudsters displayed profits on the website/platform domain but they not allowed victims for withdrawal of the funds invested by them. They are involved in 140 cases all over India, including 9 cases in Telangana, ” said D Kavitha, DCP, Cybercrime.

On realising being cheated, victims approached the police.

Citizens are cautioned not to believe fraudulent phone calls and impersonating persons in online websites and also not to invest in unauthorized websites/domains or through any other means, which lures on the guise of high returns by investing little amounts by sitting at home.
