Bearing a grudge against the complainant for rejecting his proposal, Vijay started harassing her.

Hyderabad: A nursing student approached the police and lodged a complaint against a youth who allegedly harassed her on Instagram.
The complainant, who is studying BSc Nursing at a private college alleged that the suspect Ch Vijay became a friend on Instagram and the two were having casual conversations ever since. However, recently he proposed love to her, but she turned it down.
According to the police, bearing a grudge against the complainant for rejecting his proposal, Vijay started harassing her. He threatened to publicise her private photos and videos and defame her and family members.
She told the police that Vijay also sexually assaulted her once when she was returning from college and threatened to administer her injection containing HIV, thus infecting her with the dreadful disease. He abused and assaulted her several times.
On November 15, Vijay came to the complainant’s house and created nuisance and threatened her family members. She claimed the lives of herself and family were under threat and requested police protection and action against the perpetrator.
Unable to take further harassment, she approached the Hayathnagar police and lodged a complaint with the help of her family members.
The Hayathnagar police are investigating. It is learnt that a case was earlier booked against Vijay at Nagarjuna Sagar police station. Efforts are on to nab the suspect at the earliest.
