Nalgonda: At least five devotees sustained minor injuries following a honey bee attack at the Sri Parvathi Jadala Lingeshwara Swamy temple in Cheruvugattu, Narketpally mandal, on Sunday.
The bees reportedly swarmed out of their nest after being disturbed by smoke emitted from oil lamps lit by devotees during Kartheeka Masam celebrations.
The incident occurred as devotees hurriedly descended from a boulder where they had climbed to perform a puja to a Shivalingam located on it. In their rush, some slipped on the steps, sustaining minor injuries. First aid was promptly provided to the injured devotees at the temple’s executive officer’s office on the hill shrine.
