Kantara has become a surprise blockbuster everywhere it released. The devotional action movie starring Rishab Shetty created a humongous sensation with music, the actor’s stunning performance, period set-up and visuals.
Majorly, the final 20 minutes have mesmerised entire India and Rishab Shetty even won National Award for his performance. Now, the multifaceted actor-writer-director is coming up with prequel, Kantara A Legend Chapter -1.

The announcement video of the movie itself created a huge sensation and now, the makers have locked the release date. Movie is releasing on 2nd October 2025 all over. Given the success of the first part, it is likely that the movie will potentially rob the Dasara season for Direct Telugu films. The extent will depend on the success of the promotional material.
Renowned production house Hombale Films is grandly producing the movie on a massive scale and it will release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and English languages all over.
