Hyderabad: Commotion prevailed for a while at Charminar on Sunday after two auto rickshaws drivers got involved in fight creating a scare among the people on the busy road.
The incident happened in the afternoon when the two auto rickshaw drivers who take passengers in sharing mode on the Charminar to Chandrayangutta road, argued over some issue.
The argument soon turned into a fight with the two drivers exchanging blows. One of them took a stick and smashed the windscreen of an auto rickshaw and hit his opponent repeatedly with it.
The passers-by who noticed the street fight got scared and moved away from the place while the tourists were shocked to watch the scene in one of important tourist spot of the city.
Around a dozen surveillance cameras are installed around the Charminar bus depot area and the activities are monitored on daily basis.
People demand the police initiate action against the auto drivers, who are parking the vehicles on the road and blocking the thoroughfare for regular traffic.
