Hyderabad: Commuters of Hyderabad should get ready for the elevated corridor from Uppal to Medipally. According to a latest announcement by Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, the corridor will be ready in one and a half year. After which, the new infrastructure would significantly reduce the traffic congestion on crucial roads in the city. This stretch will also reduce the travel time between Uppal and Warangal.
“Work on around five km stretch is pending completion. We will ensure that the stretch is completed within one-and-a-half years,” he said. Once the stretch is ready, people will be able to commute from Uppal to Warangal in two hours, said the minister.
What are the Issues?
This is an important corridor as people have been complaining about the dilapidating situation of the road on this stretch. Due to the bad condition of the road, it has become risky to commute. However, this is not the only concern of the commuters using this Hyderabad stretch as they are also troubled by the dust, which fills a part of the stretch from Uppal.
