Tata Curvv was the major product launch from the indigenous automaker this year. Prices of the Curvv EV were announced in the month of August, starting at Rs 17.49 lakh. The coupe-SUV’s ICE version was introduced in September at Rs 10 lakh. Now, the company is planning to further expand the Curvv ICE model lineup with four new variants. Details of the upcoming variants are not available at this point in time. However, it is expected to receive a CNG powertrain, considering the high demand among buyers. Rumors also suggest that the Tata Curvv Dark Edition launch might be on the cards.
We have already seen Dark Editions of the Nexon, Nexon.ev, Harrier, and Safari SUVs. Usually, Tata’s Dark Editions feature an all-black paint scheme on the exterior along with the ‘Dark’ badging. The interior also gets an all-black treatment with branded stitching on the headrests.

Based on the new Atlas platform, the Tata Curvv is being offered with three powertrain options – a 120bhp/170Nm 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol; a 125bhp/225Nm 1.2L direct-injection turbo petrol; and a 118bhp 1.5L diesel. All three motors come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, along with an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Curvv model lineup is currently available in 34 variants, priced from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 19 lakh (all ex-showroom).
Talking about Tata’s future plans, the indigenous automaker is all set to introduce the Harrier EV and Safari EV in 2025. We have already seen the close-to-production version of the Tata Harrier EV at the first edition of the Bharat Mobility Show last year. The electric SUV will come with features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround camera with a blind spot monitoring system, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS tech.
The Harrier EV, which will be designed on the Acti.ev platform, is likely to come with V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities. The SUV might feature a 60kWh battery pack and offer a range of around 500km on a full charge.
