Hanamkonda: In the wake of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy‘ visit to Hanamkonda, the police have started detaining Telangana activists, BRS and Lambada rights leaders since early morning on Tuesday.
According to reports, sensing trouble during the Chief Minister’s visit, the police have taken into custody several leaders and activists and shifted them to the Kakatiya University, Hanamkonda and Enumamula police stations.
Several prominent persons and opposition leaders are criticising the action of the police and terming it as an act against the true spirit of democracy. They said it was an insult to Kaloji Narayana Rao, who fought for the cause of democracy and peoples’ rights.
