Ascendion launches AI studio in Hyd

Hyderabad: US-based AI-powered software engineering services provider Ascendion has set up its AI studio, comprising an AI innovation hub and experience centre, in Hyderabad. This is the company’s second AI studio in India after the one in Chennai.
The company already has 350 employees working at the Hyderabad facility, which currently has the capacity to accommodate 150 employees in a two-shift hybrid mode. It plans to increase this number to 1,000 employees by the end of 2025. The new AI studio in Hyderabad will emerge as a global Centre of Excellence (CoE) for innovation in AI for gaming and AR/VR. It will work on AI-driven user experience projects to cater to clients, especially GCCs, in verticals such as BFSI, healthcare & life sciences and high tech, Ascendion CEO Karthik Krishnamurthy said.
He said that the company, which already has a presence in Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Vadodara, decided to set up the facility to fulfil client demand for AI-powered innovation in Hyderabad due to its strategic location, vibrant technology ecosystem, AI-ready workforce, and local support.
“The future of business will be shaped by AI-powered software and human experiences. India innovation is essential to bringing powerful new ideas to clients, and the Telangana leadership vision of an ‘AI City’ aligns with our strategy,” Krishnamurthy added.
Ascendion Executive Vice President for Engineering Solutions Prakash Balasubramanian said the Hyderabad AI studio will enable the company’s engineers and clients to collaborate on developing cutting-edge solutions that will enhance consumer and worker experiences across multiple sectors. “Our new space will help us co-create the future of experience engineering with clients as they see how ideas can move from ideation to prototyping to implementation rapidly and effectively,” he said
