My Yamaha RD 200 & RD 125 restoration: Received new parts from Thailand

The parts arrived in 12 days, which is not bad. Packing internally could have been better.

First batch of parts arrive from Thailand:

The side panel set for the RD 200 and new speedometer for the RD 125 I got from the same buyer in Thailand. Helped me save some $15 in shipping and I asked the seller to invoice the three items at $150 which he kindly obliged too and helped me save in custom duty . Also, the parts arrived in 12 days, which is not bad.

But everything arrived safely

The old new speedometer for the RD 125 in period correct box package which is definitely a few decades old now

The old new right side panel for the RD 200

Has a few nicks in the OE paint because of age and storage but will be painted so no issues

The backside

The old new OE Oil tank for the RD 200

Like the colour and maybe I will repaint it in the same shade or maybe yellow? Have to figure out what will I do for the plastic fins for both panels which get mounted on the front of them

The oil cap and mounting rubbers will be ordered from Yambits

Back side

Part number of the oil tank

The damages over and above the invoice, while custom duty charged is 10% IGST is a 28% so over all a little over 50% additional cost. That is why it’s better to carry your own parts whenever possible.
