Revanth orders probe into food poisoning incident

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday took serious note of a food poisoning incident at Maganoor govt high school in Narayanpet district, where 15 students fell ill after consuming mid-day meals. He instructed the CMO officials to immediately conduct a probe, find out the reasons that led to this incident, and submit a report to him.
The CM directed the district collector to take stringent action against those responsible and suspend all officials found to be derelict in their duty. Revanth enquired about the health condition of the students who fell ill and instructed the officials to provide better treatment to the affected students immediately.
Revanth Reddy warned that such incidents should not be repeated and alerted collectors of all the districts. The CM made it clear that the govt would not compromise in providing nutritious food to the students, and strict action would be initiated against those responsible if such incidents occur anywhere in the state.
