The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 has finally been unveiled in India in four bright colors – Rave Red, Trip Teal, Shack Black, and Purple Haze. The bike will go on sale on 23rd November, with its official price announcement at RE’s Motoverse riding festival. Upon launch, the new RE Goan Classic 350 will compete head-to-head against the Jawa 42 Bobber and Perak. It is essentially the bobber version of the RE Classic 350, featuring unique body graphics and design elements.
What’s Different From the Classic 350?
Compared to the Classic 350, the RE Goan Classic 350 has a distinct bobber-like low stance and a single seat with the option of a pillion seat. It also features an ape-hanger type handlebar. Design elements such as tubeless spoke wheels, white-walled tyres from Ceat, and a newly designed exhaust further differentiate the two bikes. Upfront, the Goan Classic 350 carries a round LED headlight, curved fenders, and a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank.
Unlike its sibling, the Classic 350, which has 18-inch rear tyres, the new Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 comes with a smaller 16-inch rear tyre. Its seat height has also been trimmed down to 750mm. The Goan Classic 350 has a kerb weight of 197kg, making it heavier than its Classic 350 sibling. The rear wheel travel has been increased to 105mm, compared to the 90mm rear wheel travel of the Classic 350.
Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Specs
Powering the new Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is a 349cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This motor, borrowed from the Classic 350, delivers a claimed power output of 20PS at 6,100rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
Braking duties are handled by 300mm and 270mm disc brakes at the front and rear axles, respectively. The bobber also features dual-channel ABS. Suspension duties are performed by a conventional telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
Key Features
The new RE Goan Classic 350 offers a small LCD screen displaying the fuel gauge and odometer. It also features adjustable clutch levers and brake levers. The bike comes with a double-cradle chassis and a 19-inch front tubeless spoke tyre, which is a first in the segment.
