Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive report on supplying River Godavari water from Kondapochamma and Mallanna Sagar reservoirs. He held a meeting with irrigation and HMWSSB officials here on Saturday on Hyderabad’s drinking water needs. He directed the officials to make cost assessments for supplying Godavari water from the two reservoirs, besides water availability in the reservoirs. The Chief Minister wanted the officials to begin tender procedures by early next month and work closely with Mission Bhagiratha for smooth implementation.

Later, during another meeting with agriculture department, the Chief Minister discussed the arrangements for the “Rythu Sadassu” (Farmers Conference) being organised as part of Vijayotsavalu celebrations in Mahabubnagar on November 30 and asked for a three-day farmers’ meeting to create awareness among farmers. Officials submitted a report to the Chief Minister on the complaints received on implementation of the farm loan waiver scheme due to errors in Aadhaar numbers, names in bank accounts and family verification.
