1L women to witness unveiling of Telangana Thalli statue: CM

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday instructed officials and party leaders to invite 1,000 women from Mahila Shakti groups in each of the 119 assembly constituencies to ensure that over one lakh Telangana mothers are present during the unveiling of the Telangana Thalli statue at the secretariat on Dec 9.
“A festive atmosphere should prevail across the state from December 1 to December 9. The city should be filled with celebrations on December 7, 8, and 9, featuring exhibitions, Telangana cultural programs, musical and air shows, drone displays, and other events around the secretariat, Tank Bund, and Necklace Road. Due care should be taken to ensure smooth traffic management and minimal inconvenience to motorists,” the CM said, while reviewing the programmes planned as part of the 26-day “Praja Vijayotsavalu” celebrations, marking the completion of one year of Congress governance on Dec 7. The celebrations, which began on November 14, will conclude on Dec 9.
The CM also directed that schools and colleges across the state actively participate in the Praja Palana victory celebrations. He further emphasized that those who were part of the Telangana statehood movement should be invited to the grand event at the secretariat.
“All govt departments must be involved and take responsibility for organizing successful events from the gram panchayat to the state level,” the CM said. “We should use these celebrations to highlight the achievements of the Congress govt in less than a year and outline its plans for further welfare schemes and development projects.”
Appreciating the success of the public meeting in Warangal, which was largely attended by members of Mahila Shakti groups, the CM urged officials to ensure the success of the Rythu Sadassu (farmers’ conference) in Mahbubnagar on Nov 30.
