Dr G Lakshmi Shah takes charge as collector of NTR district

Vijayawada: Dr G Lakshmi Shah officially took charge as the new collector of NTR district, with a clear focus on driving development across various sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmi Shah expressed his commitment to leading the district on a path of progress, emphasising that his main goal is to address the needs of the people and ensure that all areas of development receive necessary attention.
Prior to his appointment, Nidhi Meena, the joint collector, served as the in-charge collector following the transfer of Dr G Srijana, the former district collector, to Telangana. Dr Lakshmi Shah was appointed at the end of October but was unable to take up his duties immediately due to his involvement in the Maharashtra state elections. After the results were announced, he formally assumed office on Monday morning.
The new collector began his tenure with a visit to the Kanakadurga Temple, performing special prayers before heading to his office to take charge. He expressed his gratitude to chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and deputy chief minister Konidala Pawan Kalyan for the trust placed in him.
Dr Lakshmi Shah pledged to address the concerns of the public by responding to every issue brought to his attention, focusing on resolving longstanding problems in the district. He highlighted his intent to carefully examine each complaint and ensure justice for all. His tenure is expected to focus on both welfare and development, bringing timely solutions to unresolved issues.
