Hyderabad real estate fraud: Police arrests duo for fake flat offers

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police arrested two persons who had allegedly duped several persons after collecting money during a prelaunch event, organised to promote real estate venture with the promise of constructing and delivering apartments within three-years.

The arrested Chakka Bhaskar and his wife Sudha Rani, chairman and director of R Home Infra Developers Private collected huge amount of money from people on the pretext of pre-launch offer for flats. The duo claimed they were taking up different projects at Ghatkesar, Patecheru and Narayankhed, police said.


“The duo promoted their projects through social media assuring of providing flats at a cheaper rate. While collecting the money they promised to handover the flats within three years and if they failed, assured to pay Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 8,000 rent a month. The suspects collected Rs. 48 crore from 200 people and cheated them,” said Cyberabad DCP, K Prasad.

On a complaint, the police registered a case and are investigating.
