Hyderabad: A Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) constable has lodged a complaint with the Maredpally police station alleging that a man she has known for years raped her several times.
According to police, the 29-year-old woman from Mahabubnagar came in contact with the accused over a decade ago when she dialled a wrong number. Since then, he has been calling and messaging her regularly.
In 2015, she came to Hyderabad for police training at a private institute in Dilsukhnagar. The accused met her during the training and the following year, she got a job at a private school in Somajiguda with the help of the accused. During this time, she moved to a hostel in East Marredpally, close to the accused’s residence.
Gradually, they started meeting every day and later he declared his ‘love’ for her and also promised to marry her. Under this pretext, she claimed he raped her several times at his house, continuing until June 2023. Whenever she insisted on marriage, he avoided her and stopped answering her calls, police said.
“The case is under investigation and we are in the process of nabbing the accused,” said Venkatesh Nomula, SHO, Maredpally. tnn
