HYDERBAD: Noted lyricist Kulasekhar passed away at Gandhi Hospital in the city on Tuesday. After serving a six-month jail term in a theft case last year, Kulasekhar reportedly did not receive any offers from Tollywood.
Kulasekhar, a native of Vizag, wrote lyrics for songs in over 100 films. Some of his notable hits include Chitram, Santosham, Nuvvu Nenu, and Jayam.
Film industry sources revealed that Kulasekhar was admitted to the hospital due to health issues but could not recover.
Born in Simhachalam on August 15, 1971, Kulasekhar began his career as a film journalist before transitioning into writing lyrics for films. His debut as a lyricist was in Chitram, directed by Teja.
