A major tragedy was averted after a fire broke out in the parking space of a house in the Vivek Nagar area of Hyderabad’s Ramanthapur in the wee hours of Wednesday, police said.
As per the information, at around 3:30 am on Wednesday, a fire broke out in the parking area and completely engulfed the entire space. As a result, five to six two-wheeler vehicles were completely charred to ashes.
Fortunately, locals acted swiftly to extinguish the flames before they could spread further into the house, and averted any potential loss of life from happening.
However, the intensity of the fire left the parking area entirely destroyed. Authorities are assessing the damage and are expected to investigate the cause further.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by an explosion in a bike battery.
