Minister for Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh on November 26 (Tuesday) said to promote Andhra Pradesh’s rich history, music and culture on a global scale, a three-day event called ‘Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam’ would be organised at Thummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada, from December 6.
He said that the programme would be jointly organised by the Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Sangeet Natak Akademi and Andhra Pradesh State Department of Culture and Tourism. The Minister, along with officials of the Union Ministry of Tourism and Sangeet Natak Akademi, met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and invited him to the event.
He said the platform would also be utilised to showcase and promote traditional arts and crafts, cuisine and the lesser known tourist destinations of Andhra Pradesh. Besides Carnatic music, a variety of cultural presentations would enthrall the audience and focus would also be on promotion of tourism, especially eco-tourism, adventure tourism, regional tourism and wellness tourism in addition to development of tourism circuits, he said.
