Warangal: Commissioner of Police Amber Kishor Jha urged women and female students to report instances of sexual harassment so that the perpetrators could be punished.
Speaking after unveiling a new wall posters designed by the police Women Safety Wing to create awareness among women on how to respond immediately to sexual harassment victims on Friday, Jha said any woman who wishes to report instances of sexual harassment at the workplace has the right to take recourse of both civil and criminal procedures. The women could report about sexual harassment to She Team, he said.
“Women, students and girls who are facing sexual harassment at their workplaces or anywhere else, as well as students who are facing harassment due to ragging, should not remain silent and contact the local She Team team. We will see that the perpetrators are punished,”he said.
