The sixth edition of the group show Artists Reunited at Dys Art Gallery has brought together the works of 14 artists from Visakhapatnam, Delhi and Bengaluru. The show is part of the gallery’s third anniversary celebration.
The participating artists are Swati Vaidya, Neha Singh, Haripriya Patil, Sapna Sharma, Suman Singh, Alefiya Kagda, Rohitha Yelleti, Alekhya Yeddu, Ragathi Amar Hari Kumar, Minu Rao, Mortha Neeharika, Malladi Venkata Surya Teja, Swetha Surisetti and Gladdys AR.
The works featured have been done on a variety of medium, including oil on canvas, watercolour, mixed media and soft pastels showcasing abstract themes, using vibrant colour palettes and dynamic forms to evoke emotions and ideas. There are also pieces that focus on storytelling through figurative art, portraying cultural and personal narratives.

Parallelly, a solo show of artist Jyotsna Mandapaka’s etching works are also on display. Her works reflect her keen observation of surroundings during a residency programme in Hyderabad. These works delve into the intricacies of urban life, capturing fleeting moments of contemplative stillness amidst the chaos of a bustling city. Jyothi’s attention to detail, combined with her mastery of the etching technique, transforms everyday sights into profound artistic expressions with a nuanced perspective. “During the residency, I spent hours observing and internalising the rhythms of my surroundings. These etchings are an attempt to translate those fleeting impressions into permanent art,” shares Jyothi.
The exhibition not only brings together a collection of works by established and emerging artists but also showcases their creations exclusively on Hahnemuehle fine art paper, enhancing their visual and tactile appeal.
Hahnemuehle, a German paper manufacturer with over 400 years of history, is synonymous with fine art paper that is widely regarded as the gold standard for artists and printmakers. “Their papers are prized for their durability, texture, and ability to bring out the finest details of any artwork,” says Krishna Rathi of Dys Art Gallery, the official supplier of Hahnemuehle paper, adding: “We wanted to celebrate the medium that has been an integral part of many iconic artworks.”
The group show features an eclectic mix of styles, techniques, and subjects, all unified by the use of Hahnemühle paper. From delicate watercolours to intricate sketches, bold mixed media works, and evocative prints, the versatility of the paper shines through in every piece.
Earlier this week, a live watercolour portrait painting session was done by artist Naresh Mahanta.
The art exhibition will be on till December 1 at Dys Art Gallery, Siripuram, from 10.30am to 8pm.
