A video is going viral on the internet showing a cigarette butt in a plate of biryani.

The incident occurred at a popular restaurant in Hyderabad.

In the video, a group of people sitting at a table can be seen arguing with the hotel staff. They later pointed out the plate in which the biryani was served, where a cigarette butt is clearly visible.

The video was posted on the social media platform X by a user named Vineeth on November 25.

Commenting on the video, one user remarked that this is why he hired a cook at home.

Earlier this month, a video from Madhya Pradesh went viral after a man found worms in his pizza.

Last year, a renowned Mumbai eatery made headlines when a rat was discovered in a dish.

But one of the most tragic incident happened earlier this year. In May this year, a woman died following a mass food poisoning event in the Thrissur district of Kerala. Approximately 178 people were affected after consuming Biryani-type dish from a local restaurant in the Perinjanam region. Victims were admitted to hospitals with symptoms including diarrhea and vomiting.
