Hyderabad: A man was arrested for threatening the staff of an engineering college and extorting money on Thursday. Police said that CVR Engineering College manager Narayana Reddy lodged a complaint against Nagaram Prashanth, accusing him of harassment for money.
Prashanth, associated with a student organisation of a political party, used to seek monetary benefits. On many occasions, he allegedly extorted money, police said. Narsingi cops arrested Prashanth from Film Nagar and sent him to judicial remand.tnn
