Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president YS Sharmila met Governor Syed Abdul Nazeer and handed over a letter seeking immediate intervention in what she termed the “Adani bribe case.”
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Sharmila alleged large-scale corruption in power purchase agreements (PPAs) involving 1,750 crore bribe between then YSRCP govt and Adani Group. She called for the annulment of the PPA deal and demanded a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) investigation.
Sharmila accused YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led govt of compromising the state’s interests for Adani’s profits, claiming the deal imposed a heavy financial burden on the state’s citizens.
