Hyderabad: Taking strong objections to the remarks of BRS working president and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao against Rajanna Sircilla collector at a meeting recently, the Telangana IAS officers said it has become a norm to cast aspersions on public servants by persons occupying responsible public offices. The association demanded an apology from KTR.
“Telangana IAS Officers Association feels compelled to express our deep concern and strong condemnation regarding the recent derogatory statement by the Sircilla MLA against the collector and district magistrate of Rajanna Sircilla. In an unfortunate public remark, the collector was personally targeted and belittled in a manner that undermines the dignity of an officer holding such an important position in state’s administration and civil services at large,” the association said in resolution. In press release, the association said questions were raised on his impartiality.
“Public servants of all ranks work tirelessly to serve the people and ensure the effective governance of the state, often in challenging circumstances,” it said.
“We urge the people concerned to reflect upon the gravity of such statements and their impact on the morale of officers serving the public with utmost sincerity and commitment,” the association said.
