Visakhapatnam: The death toll in Wednesday’s pharma unit accident rose to two as another employee, Silaparasetti Veera Sekhar (35), a warehouse junior manager of Tagoor Labs, died on Thursday while undergoing treatment in the hospital. Chemist Dumpala Chinni Krishna, is said to be serious. One person died and nine others were hospitalised due to hydrochloric acid leak in the pharma unit at Parawada.
While Amit Bag (23) from Bagdur in Odisha died due to breathlessness and cough before he could be taken to hospital, the condition of Veera Sekhar, from Pharma City colony in Aganampudi, was critical. He, and Chinni Krishna, from Duppalapalem in Srikakulam district, were on ventilator support in the ICU. Gurram Sarat Kumar (44) from Aganampudi Pharma City colony, A Anil (30) from Anakapalli, Bugata Veerababu (30) from Pithapuram in Kakinada, Ch Rajarao (36) from Srikakulam, Nelli Bhaskara Rao (23) from Vizianagaram, Dasusetti Paparao (33) from Manapuram, Gopu Rajasekhar Reddy (45) from Hyderabad, and pharma company director Mudunuri Bhaskara Pradeep (34) are out of danger.
