Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s lives have been under scrutiny for a while now, but this has now extended to Aishwarya’s family, especially her sister-in-law, Shrima Rai. Shrima Rai is married to Aishwarya Rai’s brother, Aditya Rai. She found herself at the centre of an unexpected controversy due to speculation that she doesn’t like Aishwarya because she never posts about the Bollywood star or her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, on social media. Although Shrima has clarified her stance on the matter, she recently shared a cryptic message on social media.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Shrima shared a post that read, “A lot of people think the ultimate glow-up is physical. Honestly, it’s learning your worth, recognising when it’s being tested, and having the confidence and strength to not settle for anything less than what you deserve.”
This is not the first time that her message has caught everyone’s attention. She previously shared a note that read, “Life is too short. Build a life of your dreams but create balance and peace. Be kind and trusting, but create boundaries. Be confident and know who you are but remain humble. Always find ways to self-improve. Tomorrow is never promised, love, forgive and continue to grow.”
Interestingly, Shrima refrains from sharing pictures with Aishwarya on Instagram. Aishwarya last appeared on her profile back in May when Shrima shared a throwback photo from her wedding. While Aishwarya and Shrima do not follow each other on Instagram, the influencer responds kindly to comments about the actress on her feed. Many online users were surprised to learn that Shrima was related to Aishwarya Rai after this throwback photo resurfaced on social media. However, Shrima clarified that she wants to build a career on her own merit and wants her followers to know her for who she is and not only as Aishwarya Rai’s sister-in-law.
Shrima Rai is gaining popularity as an influencer on social media. Shrima Rai is a beauty influencer on Instagram with 129k (at the time of publishing) followers. She also has her own YouTube channel. Shrima Rai was also crowned Mrs India Globe in 2009 after she placed second at the Mrs India pageant. As per her Instagram bio, Shrima is also a former banker.
