visakhapatnam: Students and faculty of Andhra University Fine Arts College are gearing up for their annual fair scheduled in December. Under the supervision of the faculty, 130 students are diligently refining their artistic pieces to showcase their creativity and talent.
Head of the department D. Simhachalam told Deccan Chronicle: “The annual art fair is a cherished tradition of our college. It offers students a platform to express their artistic talents while engaging with the community. A diverse range of artworks will be on display, including paintings, sketches, sculptures and more.”
Simhachalam underlined that the fair is designed to evoke greater appreciation for arts among people and encourage young talents to pursue their creative interests.
B. Ganesh, a final-year Bachelor of Arts student, said the event provides them a crucial opportunity to exhibit their artistic abilities. “We are going through intense practice sessions to refine our techniques and explore new artistic mediums. As students, we support one another in our creative pursuits,” he stated.
K. Renuka, a final-year student, said they are preparing diligently, putting in their utmost efforts in ensuring the event’s success. Manikanta, another student, said they are looking forward to showcase the vibrant artistic culture of the AU Fine Arts College.
